ProKyma Technologies is a spin-out company from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

Ploughshare Innovations, Dstl’s technology transfer company, was responsible for ProKyma’s formation in 2006 following a market evaluation supported by the Central Science Laboratory (CSL) and the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA). Along with management these were the founding shareholders.

Partnering Opportunities

ProKyma is developing a 3-part business strategy for commercialisation of KymaSep. The first is development of our own diagnostic test for TB detection in sputum. This is under development and will be validated against microscopy, culture and PCR detection methods. This product will be sold through our sales team and distributors.
